Michael qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2004 and gained recognition for his exam performance. Mike commenced his career with a small firm of Chartered Accountants specialising in financial and management accounts, audit, and taxation compliance.
Since joining the firm in 2001, Mike has been involved in several commercial and public sector projects, and is now a director of Public Sector Consultancy and associate partner at the Birmingham office.
Mike provides financial reporting and governance support to a number of NHS clients, and has played a key role in the merger and de-merger of NHS organisations. He is currently working with the Department of Health on a pilot scheme to create the first wave of Community Foundation Trusts.
Mike has also assisted private and public sector clients with financial management, business plans and business case preparation, and provided interim management support at a senior level within the NHS.
Mike lives in the Midlands, and devotes much of his spare time to sport. He plays badminton competitively for a local club, and also enjoys golf.
